About Pup Playbook

We turn the overwhelm of a new puppy into a clear, kind, week-by-week plan — built on solid sources and honest gear advice.

Why this site exists

The first month with a puppy is a blur of broken sleep, chewed shoes, and a hundred open browser tabs that all say something different. We started Pup Playbook to fix one problem: there's plenty of puppy information online, but very little of it is organized into a plan you can actually follow.

So that's what we do. Every guide answers the real question first, then explains the why. Training pages give you the steps in order. Health pages keep things general and responsible, and send you to your veterinarian for anything specific to your dog. And the store only lists gear we'd genuinely recommend to a friend, with a plain note on why we'd pick it.

How we keep it trustworthy

  • Health content stays general. We never diagnose, never give specific dosing, and always point you to your vet. Look for the vet disclaimer on every health and diet page.
  • Gear picks are honest. Product links may be affiliate links, which means we can earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. That never changes what we recommend. See our Affiliate Disclosure.
  • No fake reviews or stats. We don't post invented testimonials or made-up numbers. If we can't stand behind it, it doesn't go on the page.
How we stay free: Pup Playbook is an independent, reader-supported site. We don't sell anything directly — we point you to gear on trusted retailers like Amazon and may earn a small commission when you buy, at no extra cost to you. It never changes what we recommend.

Who it's for

First-time owners, families adding a dog, and anyone who wants a calm, practical reference instead of a panic-scroll at 2 a.m. If that's you, start with the first-week plan and keep the blog handy for the day-to-day questions.
